Well, hello everyone. Hi, Cal. Hey, Cheryl. Welcome to Psychology and the Soul, where psychology and spirituality come together in thoughtful, grounded conversation about the human experience. I'm Dr. Shirley Pelazeri, a psychologist and an advocate for emotional healing, trauma awareness, and nervous system regulation. That is so true, Cheryl.
SPEAKER_00That is so you. That's totally you. Nervous system regulation. I like that. And I'm Kelly White. I'm a spiritual medium. I'm a psychotherapist. I'm a teacher, and I'm also an author. And Shirley's also an author, too. And together we are going to explore the places where psychology and spirituality stop competing and start collaborating. So this is not about bypassing pain and this is not about extremes. This is show is about awareness and intro integration and healing in a way that feels deeply human.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01I mean, right now, more than ever, people are carrying emotional weight that they don't fully understand. I mean, don't we always, you know, like anxiety. And I may not have anything, you know, that I can pinpoint to be anxious about, or emotional overwhelm, or relationship struggles, of course, that we all have that at one time or another. But patterns are repeat no matter how much awareness we have, you know. Many people are asking, why does this keep happening?
SPEAKER_00You know, that's so true, Shirley. And sometimes the pain we carry didn't begin with us. The anxiety, like you were just talking about with anxiety, it's true. You may not even understand why you're anxious. The silence, the abandonment, the addiction. These are emotional patterns that repeat generation after generation. And so many people spend years asking, what's wrong with me? When the deeper question actually may be, what happened before me?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's such an important thing to consider, which not a lot of us, you know, consider that. We don't think about that, you know. Psychology has long understood that trauma doesn't exist in isolation. Family systems shape emotional development, nervous system regulation, coping strategies, belief, and relational behavior. What and not just what we learned from our immediate family of origin grew up, you know, it's also what's being passed on. You know, family systems shape emotional development. And now the research in epigenetics, which is so fascinating, suggests that trauma may influence future generations biologically as well. And I'll get more into that in a moment.
SPEAKER_00You know, Shirley, before you do, could you would you mind explaining epigenic epigenetics?
SPEAKER_01Epigenetics is the study of you know, of like generations and and um how it affects our nervous system and our gene pool. You know, it's yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay, that's good. That's good. Um wow, because spiritually, surely, there's many tradit traditions that have long believed that unresolved pain moves through family systems until someone becomes conscious enough to see it. That's the work that I've been doing for a long time here. This conversation is not about blame that we're gonna have today, it's about awareness. And because what remains unseen often continues to repeat itself.
SPEAKER_01Right, exactly, exactly. So that's what we're gonna explore tonight is healing across generations, intergenerational trauma, you know, ancestral healing, family systems, and inherited emotional patterns that we may not be aware of, even if we don't know our family, you know, we've never met them, or for some reason they're they're just not um, you know, we're not aware of what our generations look like. There's still generational trauma that gets passed on through our genetics.
SPEAKER_00You know, it's so interesting. When I was in grad school, I my major was family systems, and nothing really to do with what we're going to go into. I mean, it kind of the beginning stage of it, of course, but what we're going to go into tonight is really exploring the generations, which is so important here. And later in the show, we have a very special guest tonight, everybody, Carrie Tonya, who, as you know, Shirley and I are dear friends with Carrie. She's amazing, and she's agreed to do for tonight for our show a live family constellation experience, and that's she's going to be exploring what it means to open the field, and you're going to begin to see the hidden dynamics operating beneath family systems. So stick with us just a couple of minutes. We have Carrie on. She's here, by the way.
SPEAKER_01Oh, good, good. So we'll have her on in a moment. You know, this is a powerful conversation, and it's a powerful, you know, as uh you know me, my left brain, you know. What do you mean, open the field? What does that mean? You know, I had a session with her and you feel it. It is it is incredible. It really, really is. Yeah. So I'm so happy that everyone's gonna get to experience, you know, a really really kind of good session.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Yeah. You know, once and you know, understanding the generational trauma can really change how you understand your own life and your lineage. And so that question of what's wrong with me gets to just kind of you know dissipate and go ahead. This intergenerational trauma refers to emotional and behavioral patterns passed through generations. This can happen through parenting patterns, through emotional modeling, through family beliefs, survival behaviors, and chronic stress environments that also really affects us. You know, children here are not only genetics, but nervous system environments. You know, the nervous system molds to what your environment looks like. So if it's a chaotic environment, your nervous system is going to mold to that. The studies at nepigenetics suggest that trauma exposure may influence gene expression related to a stress response. So, what that means is, for example, if there's a genetic predisposition, maybe in my family for schizophrenia, the environment that I grow up in, if it's a loving, nurturing environment, that gene will stay dormant and it won't get expressed. So that's such an important thing to understand. As well, it gets passed on. There was a study with rats where one generation of rats was um there was a tone and then they were zapped. You know, they would hear a tone and they would get zapped. So the association of this tone is dangerous. Seven generations later, wow, rats would still get stressed out when they heard the tone, and there had been no more zapping. The only generation that got zapped was the first generation. But seven generations down the line, that association of this tone is dangerous kept showing through. So that is how powerful intergenerational trauma can be. Yeah. Now, this doesn't mean that trauma is destiny, it means it's experiences shape biology, and that's what we want to make you aware of, and that's what these family consolation type of therapies help to clear that out to heal that peace.
SPEAKER_00Right. And spiritually, there are many traditions that have long recognized that unresolved pain moves through family systems until it's acknowledged, and so people often inherit maybe fear around money. I have a lot of clients that have had fear around money. Oh my gosh. Um, emotional suppression, you know, we don't talk. So my generation didn't talk, so you don't talk, so we don't talk here. Um, dish addiction patterns, you can clearly see that in family systems, relationship instability. As much as you think that you're gonna be the stable one in your family, I gotta tell you, you've got generations that were not so stable, you know, that makes it really rough. Hypervigilance. And Cheryl, you and I did a show the other day on hypervigilance. And it's true. I mean, people walk around it, whether it they know it's intuition or they're hyper-vigilant, right? And then shame, shame is a big one that comes into this pattern because not because they choose, they choose these things consciously, but because systems repeat what remains unresolved, right?
SPEAKER_01Right, yeah, and I would say unhealed too. Yeah, well, family systems theory teaches us that individuals adapt to maintain emotional balance within the family structure. So roles emerge, you know, the caretaker, the peacemaker, the scapegoat, the invisible child, the hero, you know, the one who comes to save the day, right? The the parent, the parentified child, as we call it. These adaptations often occur into adulthood unconsciously. I mean, of course, because we don't just turn 18 and become an adult and all of a sudden, okay, great. I don't have to be the peacemaker anymore. I mean, that becomes who you are, part of your identity. Well, I was just thinking when you said those, the black sheep. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. But the black sheep, as you've taught me, you both and Carrie have taught me, that comes to break those family patterns.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, absolutely. So tonight we're joined by Carrie Gonia, who works deeply with family constellation therapy and generational healing. And so I'd love to bring Carrie on so we can Hi Carrie. Hi, so good to see you.
SPEAKER_03Oh my gosh, you talk about epigenetics. I love it. It's my thing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. Well, it makes so much sense, and there's so much research behind it now.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah.
unknownYeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Both of you have known it forever.
SPEAKER_04I know.
SPEAKER_03I heard I heard a lot as a little kid of like it's in your genes, and I was like, no, it's not.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. Oh my gosh. Well, Carrie, before we we begin the constellation experience that everybody's gonna get to have tonight live, um, can you explain what family constellation therapy is and what it actually means to open the field?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, absolutely. So family constellation therapy is kind of an experiential therapy that brings the unconscious into the conscious. So, as we know, we can inherit fear, we can inherit physical health issues, there's lots of money trauma, as you mentioned, addiction. And so most of the time, these patterns, fears, phobias, get passed down because nobody's talking about anything. And historically back then, you know, there were no resources, our ancestors were obviously not going to therapy. And so everything kind of creates a knot. So family consolation therapy kind of goes to the heart of the kink and starts pulling on those threads. So the the practitioner uses what we call in my work the knowing field. And I always tell people the knowing field because it's invisible. The knowing field is the entire kind of ancestral container, if you will. I think of it as like the soul's consciousness of our entire family system from start to finish. And so if you were to Google family consolation therapy, it's predominantly done in big groups of people. So a stranger would stand in the field and represent the energy of your mom, Kelly, or your dad, or if there was war trauma in your family, you can put in, they call them aspect work, you can put in kind of abstract things like money, war, addiction. So someone would stand in the knowing field and would start having felt sense kind of emotions and movements, their body will tell them where the energy is stuck, where the trauma is stuck. Sometimes you get information of something that happened to a specific ancestor four generations ago. And so the field really is the container to show us what hasn't moved through the system. And then in order to clear the energy, as we'll see today, they call them healing statements or truth statements. I think I do this part a little differently. There aren't really any documented healing statements for constellations. So I channel them. I found when I was learning this, it was just easier for me to close my eyes and channel the ancestors. So the practitioner would just say short, choppy little sentences and then the client would repeat after them. And that is typically when emotion will release, the body will release, and then you can actually move forward. So you really let go of what you've been carrying for other people.
SPEAKER_01And and many times what you don't even realize you've been carrying.
SPEAKER_03I I'm always throwing myself under the bus because I grew up with my dad's side of the family. I didn't really know my mom's side of the family, but I had a very unrational fear of being trapped. So I remember as a three-year-old, my mom trying to put a coat on me and me freaking out. Like I couldn't be bound in any way. And when I started doing this work, I had a lot of trauma that I was carrying from my maternal line, tied to confinement, tied to being trapped, tied to my boundaries being crossed. So it made a lot of sense to me. It was like my body was able to just let go of that backpack full of rocks. So could that's a great question, Cheryl, or observation, because people ask me this a lot. Hey, what if I don't know anything about my family system? You really need to. That's the beauty of the knowing field. It holds all of the wisdom.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Well, I mean, I'll never forget you because you did one on my daughter. And she came home and said, Hey, mom, did grandma lose her brother when he was eight? And I went, Because I've never talked about it. My mother used to talk about it all the time, but I've never told my daughter that because it was kind of no reason to, right? And it showed up in the field. There was something I can't remember exactly what it was, you know, what we were all holding on to, but it showed up in the field, which was fascinating.
SPEAKER_03It's it's it's spooky how accurate it is. Like the thing that I loved is it really bypassed my conscious and the subconscious mind, and I was able to get into my body and uh probably for the first time in my life and really start clearing things quickly because it's so accurate.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it you know it blew my left brain away. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. I loved your first session. You were like, I feel nothing, I feel nothing, and then you turned around and then you were like, What is happening? So yeah, it's really cool.
SPEAKER_01And I remember I'll say this quickly that how I discovered you is two patients of mine, unrelated to each other, on the same day told me, asked me about family consolation therapy. One in the morning said, Hey Dr. Shirley, have you ever heard of family consolation therapy? And I said, No, I haven't. Tell me about it. And so she told me she worked with someone, I think, in Canada that same afternoon, from never having heard the term ever, that said, Hey Dr. Shirley, have you ever heard of family consolation therapy? And I said, No, but apparently I need to. And that person worked with you. Oh and she gave me your information. And I remember driving, you know, to where your office was back then, and I thought to myself, okay, what if she's like the spiritual bypassers kind of floating up here, going, you know, I never feel angered, I'm fine. And I thought, oh, well, I'll just chalk it up for experience because I'm always open to try, you know, most everything once. And when you opened the door, I was like, oh, because you are so grounded for doing this work, you know, that's very connected to the other side and spiritual, and you were so grounded, and that's what I've sent so many people to you. That's what everybody comes back saying, how grounded you are.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03I honestly think it's because of the gifts that I had as a kid and growing up during that time where you it you couldn't talk about it, and there weren't really any resources for being a deeply psychic child. So I I feel like I had to lean into like data and research to not either feel crazy or look crazy. So I think that's why I'm so like right and left brain. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That makes a lot of sense. Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Oh, and I've had extraordinary experiences working with you and uh having private sessions with you. I mean, it it really has been life-changing for me. Yeah, I'll remember Kel and I go, Hey Kel, you gotta be carrying you gotta be a constellation therapy session. And unlike Shirley, I'm the opposite. I'm like, no, I'm not gonna try it. No, I don't need to. No, I don't want to. I'm I'm like the queen of no. And uh Shirley's like, look, you really need to have this session.
SPEAKER_01So, yeah, so I'll never forget after your mom passed away, I paid for the session. I said, You're going. Taking care of you're going. Because you're away.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I had a dream about Lou and I hadn't even met Kelly yet. And I texted Shirley, like, uh, I think this is happening, you know. I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_00My mom wanted me to have it. Yeah, so yeah. It was life-changing. Yeah, I knew it would be because it is yeah, yeah. But surely, so from a psychological perspective, how would you describe this?
SPEAKER_01So, well, it externalizes unconscious, you know, unconscious relational systems and emotional dynamics that people often can't articulate cognitively, because we're talking about stuff that kind of you know gets inherited through the system, through, you know, I don't want to say osmosis, but also through family systems, through our environment, childhood environment that we may not have the words for, you know, but it shows up. And you give it words, Carrie. I mean, this this this um uh this therapy kind of they call it therapy, but it's not ongoing therapy, like the kind, you know, like psychological therapy. But it is really a therapeutic session that opens so much and explains so much, even things you didn't really know you had questions about.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. When it's you start to get answers to why I would be this way or why somebody is this way, or it starts to open, you know, change shift your consciousness, which is so important. And spiritually, this creates an awareness or a consciousness around what has been unseen. And so, Carrie, walk us through what opening the field means, and then let's start with opening the field, what people can expect, what they need to do during this time, and how long is this going to be?
SPEAKER_03I created I created a gentle one because family constellation therapy can be really intense. And so I created a soft little 25-minute gentle, hopefully gentle one. Um, so when the practitioner opens up the field, you'll absolutely feel sensations in your body. I've done close to 10,000 constellations. If you don't feel anything, addiction is stuck somewhere, or there's repressed emotion, which is really common in our parents and our grandparents' generation. But we're gonna do an abridged version. So since we aren't in a room with each other, we're gonna use paper. And so in a moment, I'm just gonna walk you guys through a little guided meditation to call in our ancestors, and then I'm gonna have you get two pieces of paper, and then we'll number them one and two. And the paper will represent the energy of what I put in. So I have already created the constellation, I've already channeled the healing statements. So we'll stand on each paper while I ask some questions, but just don't be alarmed if you stand on a paper because it's not lost on me that it's so weird that you're standing on paper and you're gonna start like going in a circle. You can rock forward and back. Sometimes you can get really sick to your tummy. At any point, if you feel dizzy or nauseous, just please have a seat. And if standing isn't comfortable, you can sit and hold your papers, it'll work the same way. So after we stand on the papers within the field, we're gonna stand on them again. And I'm gonna say some short little healing statements, and then you guys just repeat after me, and that's what will actually move the energy. Most everyone gets emotional again. Sometimes your body will start releasing. So I just invite everyone to show up for this in the way that you can. And it, yeah, it'll hopefully be gentle, but you you should feel really light at the end.
SPEAKER_00And then I just want to mention that after that, then I'll do a guided meditation just for you know, calming just for a few minutes and then a couple minutes, and then Shirley also is going to do something too about a somatic integration, right, Cheryl?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, just to make sure that everyone is grounded by the time you know this podcast, by the end of the podcast.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, are we ready?
SPEAKER_00We're ready.
SPEAKER_03Let's do it. Okay, my loves. Okay, so let's call in our family system. So if you are seated, go ahead and just close your eyes if that feels comfortable for you, and just start to take a few deep breaths. You can take a slow breath in through your nose and gently exhale through your mouth. And I invite you to feel your body supported by your chair. You can feel your feet on the ground. And I want you to bring your awareness behind you. Our right side of our body is our paternal side. Our left side is our maternal side. So over your right shoulder, imagine your father standing behind you, the very best parts of him. And then his father and mother behind him and his entire line behind him, whether you know them or not. Over your left shoulder, I want you to see your mom, the very best parts of her. And then her parents behind her. All the way back to who you believe created you. And you don't need to see anything clearly. I invite you to just sense that we didn't come here alone. And today we show up in gratitude for the life that we have been given. And today we take only what supports us and we allow the rest to stay behind. Just take another breath. And with that intention, I am going to open the field. When you are ready, gently open your eyes. Now I would like you to get two pieces of paper and number them individually, one and two. So it can be printer, paper, lined paper, post-its. If you're using post-its, it'll just feel a little uncomfortable under your feet. So if you have bigger paper, I would use that. And as you guys number your paper, I'm going to papers, I'm going to tell you what they represent. So paper number one represents the energy of what you carry. So think of this as ancestral patterns, inherited emotional weight, core wounds. That can be addiction, war, repression, abuse, trauma, early deaths if anybody's missing. So that will be paper number one. Paper number two will represent the energy of what you're choosing now. Think of this as clarity and healing, forward movement, sovereignty, a soul-led life, agency over your own fate. I love that Dr. Shirley brought up that generational trauma is not destiny. You can change anything. So what we're going to do, we're going to take our two pieces of paper and we're going to put them in a horizontal line left to right. So paper number one will be on the left and you can place it anywhere in the room that you're in. If you're sitting, you can just hold the papers individually when I tell you to. So paper number one, what you carry, will be on the left. To the right of paper number one, put paper number two, what you now choose. And then when you are ready, please stand on paper number one facing paper number two. And just see what you notice. Notice if there's any sensations in your body. You might start rocking around. Sometimes the pull is forward back. It can also be a little circle. You can move side to side. My body just naturally moves in the field, so I'm moving with you. And I invite you to see if anything feels heavy or weighted. And just notice those sensations in your body. And again, paper number one represents the emotion of what we have been carrying for our ancestors, physically, emotionally, relationally. So I want you to take a moment and really acknowledge those inherited patterns within your family system. The ones that you may be conscious of, the ones that you may not be conscious of. It can include fear and shame, silence or over-responsibility. The beauty of this work, you guys, is that we don't have to name everything in order to honor it. So I want you to take a deep breath into this space and feel into the permission to carry less. Really give yourself permission during today's constellation to live differently without repeating what came before. And see what your body does. Give yourself permission. I get to let this go. And I get to live differently without repeating what came before me. Does your body feel unstable? Or do you feel more grounded? We don't need to push anything away. We're simply observing what our bodies have been holding. Okay. Now I want you to step off paper number one. And when you're ready, please stand on paper number two, basing paper number one. So paper number two is what we are choosing now in this moment. Again, agency over our own fate and destiny, healing, living into our purpose, whatever that may be. And just notice if anything feels different than standing on paper number one. Do you feel lighter or do you feel heavier? Does your body want to move in any direction? Is there any emotion that is coming up? Are you fighting any emotion that is coming up that is really common in family constellation therapy? And I want you to tap in and see if you're even aware of paper number one. Do you know that it's next to you? Or are you only aware of paper number two? I know that's a weird question, but trust the answer. Your body will tell you the truth. Sometimes you'll get the sensation of wanting to move away from what is heavy. Okay. So now what we're gonna do, we're gonna move the papers around. So hop off paper number two, and we're gonna move them into a vertical line. So paper number two, which is what we're choosing now, will be in the front. So place that in the front of your space, and then take paper number one and put it directly behind paper number two, and that is what we have been carrying. So the premise of this is now what is leading us forward is what we're choosing instead of what we're blindly carrying. And again, in order to clear the energy, we're going to be using healing statements or truth statements. I already channeled these from the ancestors, so I'm going to say short, choppy sentences, and you're going to repeat after me. So I would love you to stand back on paper number one, what we're carrying, facing paper number two, which is what we're choosing now. When we do the healing statements, if there's any emotion that comes up, try not to push it down. Just let it go because this is what will clear the energy. So stand on paper number one, facing number two, and say, I acknowledge that I carry more than just my own experiences. I acknowledge inherited patterns within my entire family system. I see the fear and silence. The overresponsibility and disconnection. I honor the struggles that lived within my family system. I recognize that not all of this belongs to me. That shaped those who came before me. I see what has been carried through every generation. I acknowledge the weight without needing to hold on to it. I allow myself to see the pain.
SPEAKER_02Without taking it all on.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so just take a deep breath into that space. You might want to wiggle your arms, wiggle your legs. Sometimes shaking it off helps a little. Now we're going to move to paper number two. So stand on paper number two, facing forward. So paper number one will be behind us. And paper number two represents what we're choosing right now. And repeat after me. I choose to move forward with more awareness and joy. I choose to carry only what supports my life. I choose clarity over confusion. I choose connection without losing myself. I choose a new relationship with my past. I choose to live my own life. I allow space to open within me. I allow ease where there was once heaviness.
SPEAKER_02I allow myself to feel lighter.
SPEAKER_03I take the strength and I leave the rest. I allow new possibilities to enter my life. I allow myself to move forward with clear intention. I allow my life to expand beyond my past and trauma. I trust the path that is unfolding for me.
SPEAKER_02I stand here with more space and more clarity. I move forward grounded, present and open. I am ready for what comes next.
SPEAKER_03Okay. So now what you're gonna do, I want you to take a step forward off your paper. It can be a big step, a little step. You can put your toe off the paper, just do what is comfortable. Once you step forward, see how your body feels. You may notice sensations of lightness, you may want to sway or rock gently. Your body might pull you to step forward again. If it feels comfortable, take another step forward. And just say every version. Okay, my friends, come have a seat. If your papers are not in the way, you can just leave them there. I'm gonna give you a little homework assignment and then we're gonna release the ancestors so that we can do Kelly's beautiful meditation. So, in order to integrate this work, the founder Bert Hellinger believed that it would take a full 12 months for like cellular integration. And I'm sure on a cellular level, that is probably true. I just do so many of these. I have really found that the first two weeks are the most significant. And so the homework is always largely the same. It's to really ground this new placement. So you can do a 10-second, 30-second meditation, stand somewhere in your home or outside. I like to do mine outside, where you have a couple feet to move forward. And I want you to see or feel dad over right shoulder and the very best parts of dad. Mom over left shoulder, very best parts of mom over left shoulder, and then their parents behind them just start stacking grandparents. If parents were abusive in some way, I would put a mentor, an angel, an ancestor, any type of resource that feels safe for you directly behind you. As like a boundary or a buffer. So once you feel your ancestors behind you, then you take a step forward. And I always tell people walk towards what you want. Really be clear about that intention. If you want to have a baby, if you want to be on TV, if you want to write a book, if you want to be free, walk towards that intention every day. Because what will happen, even after little constellations, the energy will just keep releasing and it will feel like love and support is at your back and really pushing you forward. At any time during the meditation, if your body rocks backwards, simply take another step forward. The energy is really just trying to clear. You don't have to say anything, you don't have to do anything. You can if, excuse me, if you feel called, but it's really just to anchor the placement that you're supposed to be in the front. And then if you have children, your children will be in front of you. And again, uh pay attention to dreams. You can get really intuitive after this. You can feel really creative. I always tell people drink a lot of water after these sessions. Even little ones are kind of sneaky deep. And then eat extra protein in the next couple of days. The protein will help ground you. So before we get into Kelly's meditation, I just want you guys to close your eyes one more time. We're just going to release the ancestors and thank them for showing up today. So again, just if you're sitting in your chair, just get really comfy and start to take a slow breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. And really just feel your body again. You can feel your feet. And I want you to bring your awareness behind you for one last time. And you know, our ancestors are behind us, but now with a bit more space, and you can say silently or out loud, thank you for what you gave. I will carry my life forward in my own way. I now know your fate is not my fate. And with love and respect. Your life is your own. And my life is mine. And you may feel the system start to step back. They're not gone. We just no longer are carrying the heaviness. And the beauty of this work is nothing really needs to be done. I always tell people, turn your brain off and let it let it work for you. So just take one more breath into that space. And then when you're ready, you can open your eyes and come back to the room. How are you doing, ladies?
SPEAKER_01Wow, carry. That was really powerful.
SPEAKER_00I love it. It was just a small one, it was very effective.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03I find sometimes the small ones uh are sneaky deep. Like the small ones can really pack a punch. This packed a punch for me. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it did. It did.
SPEAKER_00For you too, Cheryl.
SPEAKER_01It did, yeah. I noticed, you know, when we were on number one, the difficulty breathing. Couldn't get a deep breath, you know. Um, and how my body felt. And then in the releasing, all of a sudden I was able to take a really deep breath. Yeah, yeah. Really, really interesting.
SPEAKER_00It was funny, Carrie. I I felt like I just wanted to go so forward. It's like, please let me let go of the struggle. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I always say it's like, do you remember the Michael Jackson video where he like leaned like from the heart?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And you're just absolutely ready to like soar. So I would hold that in your meditation in the coming days, Kel, of like, oh, I get to take off whatever is heavy and I get to from the heart rush forward.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You know. Can I share a quick little story? Something really significant happened. My my nephew graduated college a week and a half ago, and I was super emotional because I love these boys like they're my own. But during the during the commencement, the president of his college, they did this really cool thing. So I'm always going on and on about like we're the future ancestors. And so they did this beautiful thing at the beginning. If you, you know, went back to school later in life, stand up. If you grew up in a different country, stand up. And then they brought up generational trauma and said, if you were the first person in your entire family system to go to college, stand up. And I like little kid cried. I little kid cried for all those students because I'm like, I think sometimes because the world is so big and there's so much trauma, we don't think that we're affecting any type of change, but we are by doing these exercises or going to therapy or you know, talking about our traumas, like it really is changing things.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I appreciate you saying that, Carrie. I mean, that's the work that we do, and it's the work that lots and lots and lots of therapists do. Healers out there, and it's we really have a mission to do this.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it starts to shift the energy where you came from. Absolutely, by doing this work and just healing yourself.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. You know, I just want to tell you guys, we have people from Australia, we have people from New Zealand, um from all over, you know, everybody's saying how powerful this was. And uh I mean it's it's really uh quite extraordinary. Laura says for the second part, when I was on page the first page, I began to sway forward and center, and then when I walked on paper number two, I stayed forward at a pose. I never knew as I had great balance. A huge ant appeared at my feet, scared the crap out of me. My stomach was not heavy anymore. And when I took steps forward at the end of my hands, raised up, and I felt so warm with energy flowing to them. Amazing, thank you, Carrie. Ants are the workers too, like so that's great. Now, go forward, sister. Wow, wow, amazing. Uh so many people are just they went from pain and heaviness in the feet to bright and expansive energy, they felt lighter on number two. Yeah, wow, that's amazing. Um, well, so let me just do a little first of all, Carrie, and well, after we do this, then we'll come back. So, about how people can reach out to you and all of your work. But everybody, one more time, if you could close your eyes gently, just close your eyes and take a slow breath. And imagine yourself standing behind your family line, and behind you are generations of people who have survived the best way they knew how. Some carried grief, some carried fear, some carried silence. And now imagine yourself stepping forward. You're not rejecting them, and you're not carrying all of them. You're simply becoming aware. Allow yourself to say internally, I honor what came before me, and I release what no longer needs to continue through me. Take another breath. You are not disconnected from your lineage, but you are allowed to become conscious within it. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Notice your breathing. Notice your shoulders, your chest, your tummy. Notice your jaw. If your tongue is on the roof of your mouth, let me invite you to bring it down. If emotions surface tonight, that's okay. Just emotions that you can name. The nervous system processes awareness slowly. So let me invite you to place both feet on the ground. If your eyes were closed, let me invite you to gently open them. Just look around the room you're in. There's a way to orient in the room. As you're looking around, notice three things that kind of stand out. Could be a picture on the wall, something on your shelf. Name these things that you can see. It helps the nervous system come into the here and now and recognize present moment safety. Ceiling doesn't happen through overwhelm. We don't need to feel overwhelmed, it happens through grounding and integration.
SPEAKER_00Some patterns are inherited, but awareness changes systems. I want everybody to remember that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And also please remember that healing one person can shift generations forward, and as you're teaching us, Carrie, generations back.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And again, this is not about blaming the past, it's about becoming conscious within it. And I asked Carrie, you know, how Carrie, how can they continue this type of healing moving forward?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so I created an app called Legacy of Love about a year and a half ago. So when I was healing 30 years ago, I just didn't have any of this. So I created what I didn't have. So we do monthly group constellations in a community, a really loving and sacred space. We get daily messages from spirit that I channel every morning. I have um guest speakers, I call them magic makers, every month so that there's, you know, if somebody doesn't align with FCT, they might align with past life regression or somatic therapy or mediumship. So we bring in all of those resources. So it's kind of a one-stop shop for healing. I also offer one-on-ones, but it it's tough to get in with me. I typically book out six to eight months. So that's why I created the app because I wanted an affordable, quick way for people to access this work. Because it changed my life, it changed my entire family system.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah. Well, I'm so glad that you were able to be here with us. And I'm so grateful that for your work that you do. It's really gives me another lens when I'm working with somebody. And I'm sure surely you too.
SPEAKER_01Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. So, how do the what is the app called if you go to the app store? What do you punch in?
SPEAKER_03So if you go to my website, it's just carrygonya.com. There is a page that says join the subscription. And so it's yeah, it's the app is actually called Mighty Networks. And so there's instructions on the the booking page.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Wonderful. Great. Um, and so what do we do next week? Next week we have a really amazing show, Shirley, because next week we're going to answer live questions and answers. So that's so come prepared, everybody. Next week, give us your questions. And between Shirley and me, we're going to figure it out. We're going to have a lot of answers, and that's going to probably guide the conversation. So I don't care if it's a personality disorder uh question. I don't care if it's a spiritual question, whatever the question is that Shirley and I will be able to answer. And Shirley and I are also teaching a class at the end of June. I don't have the exact date with me, Cheryl, but uh the end of June, go to my website, kellywhite.com, and it's on personality disorders and why people act the way they do. And I think you will enjoy this class if you've had situations with difficult people in your family or in your family lineage, right? Because it seems to come through generations.
SPEAKER_01Always seems to be one.
SPEAKER_00Always seems to be one in the crowd. It's so true. Oh my gosh. And Carrie, I think we're going to the three of us are probably going to do a class towards the end of the year. I think we had been talking about. I know, I can't wait to exactly doing. We love to do that. The three of us work really well together. And so it's always so fun to do that. To do that. So anyway, everybody get your questions ready. You can reach Kerry at Carrie Gonia, K-A-R-I-E-G-O-N-I-A.com. She's got a beautiful website. Check out all of her work and everything that you do, Carrie. And I and Shirley, and they can find us at Psychology and the Soul. And if you would like a session with Shirley and me, the two of us together, um, please go to psychology and the soul and you can find out all about that because we're offering that as well. And the last thing I'll say is that this Friday I have a class with Janelle Campbell on intergalactic star seeds. We do it all. Exactly.
SPEAKER_03I did get in a field once, Mel. I put I put the galactics in a field once because I was curious to like it was because I am like angel energy, so it was so fascinating to me. I loved it. I got a lot of information.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. You guys you're feeling free to join our class on Friday. It's this it's in Australia, it's Saturday morning, but Friday it's uh Pacific time, 4 p.m., 4 to 6 p.m. Pacific. Okay. And everybody's so great to be together. And I'll see everybody on my show Ask Me Anything on Thursday. So take care, my friends. Thank you for watching. Bye bye.
